Dunlop’s involvement in motor racing goes back to the earliest days of the sport, and the company is still a vital part of the vintage and historic racing world. Its classic racing designs are the MSA-specified tyres at popular events such as the Goodwood Revival, and the full range of tyres covers many eras of the sport.
The CR65 was originally called the R7, released in 1965 it offered further improvements over the R6 in terms of internal construction and tread. It is available in two section width types, L and M, with M suited to wider wheel fitment. Like many of Dunlop’s historic range, the CR65 uses the ‘204’ compound, which balances grip and longevity. These tyres are not road-legal.
This 550L14 Dunlop Racing CR65 tubeless, crossply tyre is an L-section tyre, and is suitable for use on wheels with a width of 4 to 6.5 inches, with an overall diameter of 631mm, a section width of 198mm and a tread width of 128mm.
