● Design and maintain hybrid classical-quantum workflows.
● Perform suitability analyses for industrial and scientific quantum applications.
● Set up scalable quantum computing simulators in an HPC environment.
● Execute quantum algorithms efficiently and cost-aware on cloud-based quantum backends.
● Monitor advances in quantum computing, translate findings into practical solutions, present at conferences and contribute to publications.
● Contribute to course and hands-on training program design.
Requirements
● Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Computational Science or a related field.
● Good knowledge of quantum computing: programming, algorithms and NISQ architectures.
● Software development experience, particularly in Python and Jupyter environments.
● Familiarity with HPC systems, including GPU usage.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
Desirable
● Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers.
● Experience in customer-facing technical roles and basic agile development (e.g. Kanban, Scrum).
● Exposure to HPC, scientific computing or data-intensive domains.
● Intermediate knowledge of German.
Our offer
● Flexible working hours and mobile working options.
● A modern, diverse work environment with close proximity to academia and research.
● An interesting, versatile role in an internationally operating IT competence center.
● Collaboration in a competent and committed team, opportunities for qualification and further development.
