Mutable Instruments Ears is a unique contact microphone and amplifier based on Tom Whitwell's open-source module. Capable of delivering a diverse palette of organic, physical sounds, you can create incredible tones by scratching, tapping, and generally collecting any kind of acoustic waves around your modular enclosure, including speaker feedback. Equipped with a built-in envelope follower and gate detector, Ears can also act as a gateway between external audio sources and your entire modular rig. With such powerful capabilities, the Ears occupies such a small (4HP) footprint in your setup, measuring just 25mm wide.
