PROTOMATE is a little helper for breadboard. It makes work cleaner, easier and faster.
Designed with 10 pins Headers in order to be Eurorack friendly but not only.
The IDC connectors/flat ribbon cable can be used to chain together many ProtoMate boards or power an additional Eurorack module.
The project comes SMD pre-assembled as a DIY project.
Prototype safely: the board is designed to shut down and protect against short circuits and wrong polarity. The RGB LEDs will indicate the status:
GREEN: normal operations
RED: short circuit --> no current passes trough
BLUE: wrong polarity --> no current passes trough
Features:
- both IDC cable sockets (2*5) are equipped with security slots to prevent the incorrect insertion of cables.
- The two LEDs on the boards indicate power status for each rail
- The diode/resettable fuse circuitry provide protection against the risk of reverse polarity electrical connections and short circuit.
When the current draw of each channel exceeds 500mA, the fuses will start to interrupt the flow.
- ProtoMate features 2x 3.5mm mono Jack socket with switch that is normalized to the signal. Those are labeled as SIG1/SW1 (signal 1, switch 1) on one side, and SIG2/SW2 (signal 2, switch 2) on the other side.
- The 2 resettable fuses provide short circuit protection.

Hold current: 500mA - Trip current: 1A
V+ expects positive voltage only, V- expects Negative voltage only. The 2*5 pin Headers are connected in parallel.
4mm Banana connectors and screw terminal are connected in parallel.
