My name is Jonathan and I'm a native English speaking, English literature PhD candidate and university lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) at Universität Heidelberg, here offering my services as an English proofreader for anything from BA/MA theses, fiction, term papers, or anything else you might need a fresh and competent pair of eyes on.

I have an MA in English studies from Leiden University (Cum Laude) and a BA (Hons) in English from The University of Birmingham in the UK, so you can rest assured that your projects are in safe hands with me, and I will ensure that your work is proofread to the highest possible standard.

I offer various types of proofreading, which are:

- A grammar and vocabulary check of your writing, so you can make sure that your project is grading or publication ready with those little errors ironed out.

- A deeper read that will also cover correct citation and style, as well as bibliography formatting for academic texts.

- A full line edit that entails advice on content, structure as well as iterative re-reading by myself and ongoing commentaries on your work to make sure every element of your work is checked and ready.

Since no two projects are the same and everyone has different needs, prices are arranged individually between you and myself, taking into account your specific needs, your situation and the nature of your work. The first quote is always non-binding, and I always keep my rates as competitive as possible.

On top of this, under the "Kleinunternehmer Regel" I don't charge Umsatzsteuer, and I also offer a student discount/Studi Rabatt of 10% on all prices for students, as well as discounts for ongoing work, multiple contracts or large bulk projects.
