BREB GmbH & Co. KG, Cuxhaven, has arised from Bremer Reederei Eilemann & Bischoff GmbH, established 1951 in Bremen.

BREB is a classic Shipping Company with an own Fleet, own Chartering and own Port-Agency and Logistics-Department with offices in Cuxhaven, Sassnitz and Zeebrugge. We operate a fleet of own and chartered, modern geared Multipurpose-Vessels with 4.000-9.000t cargo capacity from the White Sea in the North to the Black Sea in the South-East. Our Chartering Department works any kind of dry cargo from Bulk, to Breakbulk, General Cargo and Project Cargo.

In partnership with a Danish company, we operate the largest German port facility for wind turbine component handling in Cuxhaven.

We are currently looking for a dedicated employee (f/m/d) for our Chartering and Operations Department to join our team in Cuxhaven, either immediately or at a later date.

As employee in our Chartering and Operations department, you will be responsible for the following tasks, which will vary according to your preference on Operations or Chartering:

● Creating voyage instructions for our own and chartered fleet
● Requesting and verifying port costs, nomination of port agents
● Ordering marine fuels
● Claims handling
● Checking loading documents and preparing laytime calculations
● Document management and preparing ship questionnaires
● Creating, updating, and finalizing voyage calculations
● Fixing cargoes for own vessels
● Fixing tonnage for own contract cargoes in coordination with industry
● Set up C/Ps, fixing notes, recaps, T/C contracts
● Negotiate T/C contracts with owners

● Completed training as a shipping merchant, logistics studies, or similar
● Professional experience in Operations and/or Chartering
● A structured, efficient and autonomic work approach
● Strong communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English
