Der Darkglass Electronics Super Symmetry LTD BK Goodby Edition Compressor bietet die Transparenz und Präzision eines modernen Compressors erinnert aber gleichzeitig an eine Old-School Kompression.
Blend
Wie bei allen Pedalen von Darkglass gibt es auch hier einen Blend Regler der es erlaubt das komprimierte Signal mit dem natürlichen Sound des Instruments zu mixen. Das hat den Vorteil, dass sie die Kompression zurückschrauben oder aufdrehen können ohne dabei weitere Einstellungen am Input oder Output vornehmen zu müssen.
Input
Regelt den Input Gain des Compressors und agiert auch als Threshold Regler. Höherer Input resultiert in einer stärkeren Kompression.
Attack
Bestimmt die Zeit wann die Gain-Reduction einsetzt (umso weiter aufgedreht desto schnellere Attack-Zeit).
Release
Bestimmt die Zeit wann das Signal zurück in den Pre-Gain-Reduction übergeht. Je höher der Regler eingestellt ist, desto küzer wird das komprimierte Signal gehalten.
Compression
Stellt den Grad der Kompression ein (Peak Reduction).
Output
Lautstärke des komprimierten Signals.

Darkglass Super Symmetry Black – Limited Edition offers all the transparency and precision of a modern compressor with the twist that its inherent envelope effect is reminiscent of old school compressors.
The effect is easy to adjust with only 6 straightforward knobs. Like all Darkglass pedals, the Mix knob allows for mixing the compressed and clean signals, ideal for fast compression adjustment (to reduce it you can dial back the blend and avoid having to readjust your Input and Output levels for unity gain). The Input knob adjusts the gain on the compressor. Besides working great for ensuring clean operation, it also allows for adjusting the threshold over which the compressor starts reducing gain.
The Attack knob sets the time until gain reduction begins (higher settings will translate into faster Attack times). The release knob sets the time after which the signal goes back to pre gain-reduction levels. Higher release settings will hold the compressed signal for shorter time.
The Compression knob sets the amount of compression (Peak Reduction) and the Output knob sets the output volume of the compressed signal.
The Super Symmetry has a current draw of 30mA. Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Due to ecological reasons it does not accept batteries. Unregulated power supplies and/or higher voltages may result in suboptimal noise performance and even damage your unit!
