Seeking Compassionate Babysitter for Autistic Non-Verbal Child

Are you a patient, caring individual with experience working with children? We’re looking for a reliable and understanding babysitter to support our family. Here are the details:

Job Description:

Position: Babysitter
Child: Our wonderful 7-year-old son, who is autistic and non-verbal
Responsibilities:
After School Pickup: The babysitter will wait at the door when the school bus drops off our son.
Safe Arrival: Safely bring him into our apartment.
Companionship: Engage with him in developmentally appropriate activities.
Lunchtime: Occasionally prepare his lunch (which will be ready for the microwave).
Emotional Support: Utilize positive behavior strategies to support his emotional well-being during any behavior escalations.
Self-Care: Assist with toileting and other self-care activities as needed.
Light Housework: Keep living and play areas tidy.
Homework Help: Assist with homework and tutoring if required.
Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience working with autistic children is highly valued.
Patience: A calm and patient demeanor is essential.
Empathy: Understanding the unique needs of non-verbal children.
Reliability: Punctuality and consistency are crucial.
First Aid/CPR Certification: Preferred but not mandatory.
Hours:

Monday to Friday: From school bus drop-off until parent(s) return from work (approximately 2:00 PM). Not everyday... on days I have to work
Compensation:

Hourly rate can be discussed... Payment by health insurance
