Although the case holds up to 12 place settings, I have a NEW 10 sitting sterling silver dining set by Christofle in the classic ‘Cluny’ style.
All pieces are sterling silver and NOT silver plated. However, as is their production method, some serving pieces are silver plated due to heat conduction. Example being a soup ladle.
The set was bought in New York. These pieces have not been used at all and it is evident upon inspection, which is welcomed either in person or online.
This set is not in production anymore but if you go online they still make sterling silver soup spoons that retail for 410 euros a piece. This set has 110 pieces of similar price, collected together in a case. There are 12 serving pieces as well, all visible on line. This set new when available would be over 40,000 Euro.
